DailyThought #7 - Hobbies

Hobbies build interesting people. Per definition, “ a hobby is an activity that is done for enjoyment in one’s leisure time. It is a pursuit that a person does because they enjoy it and with no intention of making profit.” (Wikipedia). Hobbies are how people chose to spend their time. In today’s society, it seems that a lot of our time is chosen for us. Between bills, work, and other obligations, we are left with little time in the day - and how we chose to spend it is important. This is why you see outdoor basketball courts crowded with people, concerts filled to the brim, or bars drunk dry. These are ways for people to feel joy, and it is their choice.

There is a drive that people hold in their hobbies; with almost no incentive. The power to proceed comes from within, and that’s pretty cool. I believe if more people were able to turn their hobbies into something that they can make a living off of, everyone would benefit. People would feel good about going to work, because their work makes them feel good. There would be a stop to violence and crime and all the badness that is in our control, because individuals would be content. Content with their work, their life, and how they lead them. Find a hobby and feel good. Ahuevo
