DailyThought #63 - New/ Old

When starting something new, the only comparison we have, is to old. We look over our shoulders as we are pulled forward. Sometimes we don't want to move forward, but the world does around you - if it doesn't pull you forward, it can pull you down. But, we all stay on our feet because life is nice enough to stumble through - it's never black or white.

Personally, I act today with the eyes of an old man. I want to look back through all the blur and remember there were more better days than worse ones. I want my future self to be proud of my past self. More importantly, I want to be remembered positively by those who out live me. I believe that's natural; at least it is for me.

We fight over made up concepts and spill blood over into the water we drink. And that water is drinken by the children and the soil. Its taste is remembered, just as the face of the person who spilt it. Legacy is important to all, at one point - it is when it isn't that is scary.

To legacy and self. Ahuevo

On my drive home every day, the sun sets in my rearview mirror. I can't help but turn my head behind me, losing focus on the road ahead of me. Colors mix within the clouds as I swerve left and right.
