DailyThought #41 - Music to my Ears

My days start in a rhythm; the same as the day before. When I leave home, I am happy to be in a car, where the seat is comfy and speakers surround me. Each day varies depending on nothing - just how I feel about the world around me. More times than not, blues start the day. Many confuse blues to be sad music, but it’s not, it’s life’s music. It is what allows us to be happy. The sadder life is, makes more room for the happier it can be. So I play the blues to make that room.

Once I get to my destination, I still sing in my head and go about my day. When I am finally back home, it is my turn to make music. I am a happy man, but my music seems to be sad. I do not know why, the lyrics that come to mind speak of torture, loss, and despair. That is not who I am, but it is who I avoid. I avoid that side of me all day, until I have to confront it, in which I do.
