DailyThought #32 - How Can We Sleep?

With so many people to walk the land we live, how can the ones that have already lived rest quietly? When their graves are redug by bombshells and their remains are scattered, how do they look down upon us? We come into this world with a natural respect for it, but as we grow, so does our negligence. Maybe this is just how life is supposed to go. Maybe once we die, we die, and there is nothing more. But I am filled with hope. Hope that when it is my time to rest, people won’t fight over my dead body. That when I look down, it is with a smile.
