DailyThought #18 - The Moss in My Eyes

My feet drag down the road I walk. Not in anguish, but in relaxation. My shoulder are heavy, but my eyes are light. I look from tree to tree, not looking to far above because I know the branches cloud the sky. Rather, I look straight on, only focusing on what’s in front of me. The warm street light dims the road with its color, and a dog barks in the distance - breaking up the constant sound of crickets. The moss roots itself to the tree’s limbs, letting gravity pull it downward. Its strands blur my vision’s boarders with soft movement in the breeze. It brings me peace. A peace that can’t be found inside.
