Balancing Human Anatomy

God gave us a brain to think, and a heart to contradict it; hands to hold, and fists to fight; two eyes that are expected to see beauty, but lock on to horror.

Everything in life comes with its options; and the power to choose them. Scary, but more importantly, freeing. I would rather suffer the consequence of selecting the wrong option than live a life stripped of my ability to do so.

With so many choices a day, we are bound to make a few bad ones. You couldn't live 100 lifetimes and make every right decision. Forever changing and evolving: life never fails to leave you humbled and confused.

But this is an act worth balancing: the arms I use to squeeze my loved ones today, can be used to strangle anyone who threatens them tomorrow. Although I hope that doesn't happen, I am happy I have to the choice to make if it does.

Touch wood, our choices will mend peace and curate love. But when the opposite happens, - which it will - I am thankful to have a choice in action.
