DailyThought #30 - Change

There is a man and his chair. His chair is a comfortable one, one that fits him perfectly. He sat in the chair so much and for so long he forgot how to walk. He forgot life without the chair. But one day, the chair holding the weight of his body, broke and crumbled beneath him. He tried to get up, but couldn’t. He spent so much time in the chair, he forgot all the good it was doing him. He forgot about the chair while sitting on top of it.

Now that the chair is gone, all the man can do is remember the peace it gave him. He relearned how to walk and now enjoys getting out. As years past, he thought about his chair from time to time, and though it is fond in his thoughts, he is grateful for the change it brought him.
