Spring in Guadalajara is one of the prettiest places I have been. Though the land is crowded with people and buildings, the city feels peaceful. Even though the city is massive and populated, they seemed to value nature: gardens and trees filled the sidewalks and parks broke up the neighborhoods. On my way to the gym each day, I would bike underneath this Jacaranda tree. I watched purple flowers bloom and grow, little by little. Each day a new character would pass through its shade. Whether a stray dog or a lady selling flowers, the tree offered comfort in its beauty and shade.
